In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus promises God's blessing on those in need. He reminds the people not to be troubled with the problems of life, but to trust in God. Today, Jesus wants each one of us to place our trust in God. There can be many things that trouble our hearts, but following and trusting God frees us from worrying in his life and assures us of life forever with God.
The Board of Directors is delighted to announce that Mrs Suzanne Horan has been appointed as Catholic Senior Executive Leader (CSEL) of St Nicholas Owen Catholic MAC, with effect from 1st September 2019. In this exciting new role role she will have overall accountability for both the educational performance and the financial management of all the schools within the MAC, and will closely with the Board, the Principals and the local Academy Committees, to ensure that the MAC continues to develop and grow.
Congratulations to Mrs Kathryn Sargent and Ms Hayley McCormack who have been duly elected unopposed as parent representatives of St. Joseph's Academy Committee. The parent academy committee representative role is not to represent parents in the sense of being a delegate but to bring to the local Academy Committee the qualities and insights that they have because they are a parent of a child in the school with first hand knowledge of all that it means. They are not a representative of the parents but a representative parent. We thank both parents for offering their support to our school.
The School has received the Section 48 inspection report from the Birmingham Diocesan Education Service which took place on 3rd and 4th December 2018. Even though our grading is now 'Good', seven out of nine aspects have been graded as 'outstanding' under a more rigorous framework. We thank God for our pupils, staff, parents and volunteers who collectively make St. Joseph's such a wonderful, caring community centred on Jesus Christ. The report is now available on the school website. On the Home Page, click on the Key Information tab. Go to the Inspections folder and then Section 48 Inspection Report.
