Our Calling to Follow Jesus' Footsteps

In this Sunday's Gospel, Peter (after a night of failed fishing) is finally successful and realises his tru calling because he listens to and follows' Jesus' instructions.  It is important to make the right choice about who or waht we follow in life.  Simply following our desires and feelings, which often change, can leave us feeling unsatisfied.  Jesus invites each and every one of us to make following him our most important priority.  We follow Jesus whenever we are kind, try to make peace, and make others feel welcome.  Choosing to follow Jesus is not always easy but it really does guide and help our famiies to keep growing in wisdom and love.

Section 48 Inspection Report

The School has received the Section 48 inspection report from the Birmingham Diocesan Education Service which took place on 3rd and 4th December 2018.  Even though our grading is now 'Good', seven out of nine aspects have been graded as 'outstanding' under a more rigorous framework.     We thank God for our pupils, staff, parents and volunteers who collectively make St. Joseph's such a wonderful, caring community centred on Jesus Christ.  A copy of the report will be available on the school website.  Paper copies of the report will be available upon request.
