The Key Stage 2 School Games event will take place this coming Monday (9th July) from 10.45am until 12.30pm. Thank you to the school staff who supported the organisation and implementation of the Reception and Key Stage 1 events last week which were a great success. Thank you also to Mrs Brown for organising refreshments and snacks to serve to parents and visitors. Currently St. Luke's house are in the lead after the initial two events with 66 points, followed closely by St. John with 63 points. St. Matthew's and St. Mark's house have 57 and 47 points respectively. On Monday, the Key Stage 2 children are to come into school wearing their house colour t-shirt and rest normal uniform. They will change into PE shorts at break time. Please ensure all PE kits are in school.
On Tuesday morning we will be holding a transition day for parents and pupils in preparation for next academic year. In the morning, from 9.10am there will be an opportunity for parents to meet their child's new class teacher/s. There will be a series of three 10 minute sessions which will allow parents who have a number of children to see the different class teachers. This will be an opportunity for teachers to provide parents with a brief overview of what the children will be learning throughout the year and an opportunity to ask questions. During the afternoon the children will work with their new teachers. Our Year 6 pupils will have a special treat at Mary Steven's Park with snacks and drinks kindly provided by the PTA. Mr Bennett will also be organising some games and activities for the children to do too.
