This coming Sunday, Jesus tells us that anyone who eats the bread that he offers will live forever. Jesus is the living bread which has come down from heaven and that anyone who eats this bread will live forever. Every time we come to Mass, the bread and wine are changed into the body and blood of Jesus. And we come to share in it, even if we only have a blessing, welcoming Jesus into our lives. Unfortunately, we are unable to share in this special sacrament at this current time due to the Covid 19 pandemic. However, we are all encouraged to make a Spiritual Communion when we desire to be in union with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. This can be done whilst watching a live stream of Mass being offered. One prayer that we can say is: My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
Merger of St. Nicholas Owen and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic MACs
Today you should have received a consultation letter from both Chairs of the Board of Directors at St Nicholas Owen and St Catherine of Siena regarding the intention to join the two companies to create one larger Multi Academy Company. A copy of the letter is available on the school wesbite under the 'Key Information' tab. This is an exciting future for all involved.
Calling all singers Be a Rock 'n' Roll Star
Come and join in the fun of the Dudley Performing Arts Virtual Summer Festival by taking part in our vocal montage video. All you need to do is come along to an online rehearsal where our vocal staff will teach you how to sing Rocking All Over the World. You will be accompanied by a full orchestra and backing singers. There will be opportunities to sing solo or if you prefer just be part of the chorus with everyone else. After a few rehearsals we'd like you to film yourself singing your part, and this will be your chance to rock it out and shine. Once all the videos are sent in, the film crew will work their magic and produce a montage film of the song which will be released at our Virtual Festival on the DPA Youtube channel on July 5th.
If you fancy the rock'n roll challenge all you have to do is contact dpa.cs@dudley.gov.uk telling us that you would like to come to the online rehearsal on Wednesday 10th June at 18:00.
